FYI: AAFP Meaningful Use Webinar, August 19th, 1PM EST

As you may know, the PCPCC Center for eHealth Information Adoption and Exchange (CeHIA) does not have any scheduled meetings during the month of August. We wanted to make you aware of an upcoming event that you may find helpful and informative. The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) Center for Health IT is conducting a webinar on Thursday, August 19, from noon to 1:30pm CST on “Understanding the Meaning of Meaningful Use.”  There is a nominal charge of $10 for AAFP members and $50 for non-members. Additionally, the CeHIA will be moving from bi-weekly information sessions to monthly webinars, commencing in September 2010. Our first webinar will be Tuesday, September 7, from 2:00 – 3:30pm EST. The webinar be co-sponsored by the Center for Multi-Stakeholder Demonstrations and will be an update on the ONC REC and Beacon programs with a specific focus of how these efforts are supported by the Patient-Centered Medical Home and Primary Care Delivery Redesign. It will also provide specifics of several State/Regional initiatives. Invited speakers are Mat Kendall and Craig Brammer. Further details, including registration information, will be sent shortly.
