Medicare Payment Policy and Affordable Care Funing Sign On Letters
Below, please find two letters from the PCPCC for your organization to consider signing on. The first letter is addressed to the Administrator of CMS, Dr. Donald Berwick, and concerns the Proposed Rule on Medicare Program, Payment Policies under the Physician Fee Schedule and Other Revisions to Part B for FY 2011. The letter has a number of comments regarding the notice of proposed rulemaking as it relates to the primary care incentive payments (PCIP). The second letter is addressed to Secretary of HHS, Kathleen Sebelius, and the Acting Director of the OMB, Jeffery Zients. The purpose of this letter is to request full funding for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Ace (P.L. 111-148) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (P.L. 111-152) for the programs that promote primary care, particularly with a emphasis on developing and teaching the PCMH model.
