CMS Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative
Collaborative Announcements
Today's call will be dedicated to a discussion on the new CMS Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative. Please feel free to invite potential partners and colleagues who might be interested in applying for this program to this call!
AGENDA:
1. Welcome and Introductions - Robert Dribbon, co-chair, Center for Employer Engagement
2. Overview of Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative
Staff of the CMS Innovation Center, Andy Shin and Christa Shively, will present an overview of this new initiative and answer questions about the application process. They will explain the process for filing non-binding Letters of Intent and Geographic Service Area Worksheet which are due on November 15, 2011. You can download a copy of their presentation here:

3. Partnering with Payers
Following the presentation by CMMI staff, joining us on the call will be Dr Raymond Zastrow, Chief Medical Officer, QuadMed (purchaser); Dr Peter Bowers, Medical Director, Wellpoint; and Jason Buxbaum, Policy Analyist, National Association for State Health Policy. These individuals will give an overview of how this initiative has the potential to impact their organization. Other topics to be addressed include:
